As you can tell in my articles I am a proponent for having a plan. I believe that planning helps to increase your chances for successfully accomplishing anything. Having a plan helps you to critically think about the most effective and prudent task to complete that will move you in the direction you must go. Therefore, having a marketing plan, no matter the size of your business is necessary to achieving profitable growth. The goals identified in your marketing plan should describe very specific objectives y achieving the deisred a results of implementing your marketing plan. The marketing plan should connect with the goals of the entire company to create alignment and momentum. Your goals should be:
- Specific and measureable
- Motivating. Not just to you but all involved.
- Achievable. Sometimes the impossible really is impossible
- Relevant. Don't pursue objectives that are dated.
- Time bound. Give it a timetable so that you can complete it and move on.
These are but a few basic recommendations that will help drive a successful marketing strategy and business growth.
